Honus Wagner played for the Louisville Colonels (1897-1899) and the Pittsburgh Pirates (1900-1917, 5 games as player-manager in 1917). After his playing career, Wagner served as a coach for the Pirates (1933-1951). He was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1936. From the description of Letter, 1933, March 5.
